Michaelene began her real estate career in Illinois while she and her husband, Gene, were raising their three young daughters. Michaelene got her start at a small, family-owned brokerage where relationships mattered, service was personal, and clients truly felt cared for. After several years, she transitioned to a large corporate brokerage, gaining valuable experience and exposure—but quickly realized she missed the concierge-style service and close client relationships that first drew her to real estate.
 
That realization led she and Gene to open their own firm, Blue Key Realty, Inc. They built their business the old-fashioned way—through community involvement, sponsoring local events and youth sports teams, and earning trust one client at a time. Their business grew entirely by word of mouth and referrals, a testament to the relationships they value and the service they delivered.
 
As the years passed, their daughters began exploring college opportunities—and all roads led to Central Florida. Once they became year-round Florida girls, Michaelene and Gene knew the Midwest winters and limited outdoor lifestyle would never compare. With that, they began planning their own relocation. Michaelene became a licensed Florida Realtor and immersed herself in learning everything there is to know about Florida real estate, while Gene began laying the groundwork for the next chapter: Suncoast Elite Realty, Inc.
 
After working with several brokerages across Florida and gaining a deep understanding of the local market, 2025 marked the perfect time to return to what has always felt like home—a family-boutique, concierge-style brokerage.
